    i am a bit impartial to Gunbower-Perricoota Forest near Echuca, Vic on the Murray. Fair bit of wildlife, not too many people, close enough to a pub, far enough to not stay there. There was a fire at Kate Malone bend up there a few years ago too so it has regrown back with a vengence. Wingan inlet in Croajingalonga (i think thats it) Nat Park is an amazing place too, except in summer when you cant swing a cat without hitting your neighbours tent.
