Description

Black River Stadium is located 20 klms north of Townsville and 7 klms off the Bruce Hi way.

Heading north towards Cairns on the Bruce Hi way turn left on to Black River Road (21k from city), then travel 7 klms along black river road and turn right into the huge stadium entrance and choose your own site.

A peaceful quiet location with 20 meter drive through sites and lots of choice with 60 powered sites and pick your own site makes parking a breeze. You wont find any noisy swimming pools or kids games at black river it is aimed at the older traveller who is just looking to spread out and enjoy the peaceful surroundings with lots of room.

Campfires are part of our Aussie heritage and they encourage you to enjoy having your own camp fire right beside your van or at the camp kitchen BBQ.

Pets are allowed with special exercise areas to unleash and let your best friend run and play in the black river or on designated parts of the 75ha property. ( Pets must be on leash inside the park area)

Your hosts Bill and Joan welcome you to drop in and look around before deciding to stay. They find people invariably book for a night and end up staying a month.

The park gates lock up at 6 pm each night and the six foot security fence ensure your inside a gated compound locked away for the night. (Master Gate keys are available for a refundable $20 deposit)

You will find black river an economical place to stay too, with mobile phone, television and wireless internet reception excellent. Just a quiet place to meet up with friends, camp together and enjoy a bit of Aussie Bush.
