I have camped up there in my combie in yrs gone by ute, and i think its a brilliant suggestion. Heaps to do and easy to get around... and while i dont hitch hike anymore... that was the way i got around Qld for 5 years. I even hitched a lift on the mail plane to get me to Weipa back in 82.

But yes, I think Michael should have a great time up there, its a beautiful area.

Australia's one most impressive drives - Cairns or Port Douglas to Cape Tribulation and Daintree Rainforest. Visit Trinity Beach if you will have an overnight in Cape Tribulation and next beach for a perfect visit is Ellis Beach (North of Queensland).
